Halloween fun (2012-style)

It was a dark and stormy night… actually, it was a gorgeous evening… clear and warm with just a wee nip by 8pm to let you know that summer is over….

Halloween. One of my favorite holidays!  What could be better than an excuse to get all dressed up to give candy to children?!

I got my costume idea from a picture I saw on Pinterest.

QUESTION:WHAT IF YOUR HAIR COULD EMIT SOUND?ANSWER:I’M SURE THAT WE COULD HEAR IT SCREAM.

Medusa’s having a bad hair day…

I could be Medusa… only as a pretty woman having a very bad hair day…

Me as Medusa

My version of the hair-crossed Gorgon…

And then I went to the Lemon Grove Library for their Halloween Bash…. it was glorious!

I was greeted by Jennifer Teitlebaum, the Youth Services librarian

And the middle of the party was a spontaneous Gangnam-style dance routine with the librarians….

The glitter was flying, the librarians were dancing, it was a fab time in Lemon Grove…When the party finally came to an end, I went home to hand out candy to our trick-or-treaters.  Two kids recognized me as that lady from the library! We had about 150 trick-or-treaters this year, and I loved seeing each and every one of them!

Ok, I admit we are extremely lucky not to have crazy teens who tp or egg things….that might color my view a bit. All of our trick-or-treaters were in costume, polite and adorable.

What’s not to love about this holiday?
